Entry requirements and assurance

The right course.
The right foundation.

01 / Door supervision

Emergency first aid comes first.

SIA door supervisor training or refresher programmes require a valid Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, or an accepted equivalent, with at least 12 months remaining.

02 / Close protection

Level 3 first aid is essential.

Close protection applicants and refresher learners need First Aid at Work or another accepted Level 3 first-aid qualification, with at least 12 months remaining. EFAW alone does not meet the close-protection requirement.

03 / Awarding and delivery

Approval is confirmed before booking.

The awarding organisation, approved centre, assessment arrangements, qualification availability and any applicable FREC delivery approval are confirmed for each course before enrolment.
